I apologize that some hospital pictures are soft & slightly grainy, as they took my pictures using the dim room light, without the flash.

My First Day

Hi everybody, it's me Penny Ekins and I have just been born.  I welcome you all to my web site.

A few minutes old.

Penny of Arabia

Hi Daddy, it's me Penny.

Well, this must be Mommy.

Aunt Molly helped with my birth.

Grandma & Grandpa came to see me
for my 10th hour birthday.

Daddy gives me my first feeding.

Mommy, Daddy and I all wear these matching bracelets.

Here's Daddy's

It's a big beautiful hospital.

Days 2, 3 & 4

I came by C-section, which is why we are staying in the hospital for 4 nights until Friday.  So for my days 2, 3 & 4, Mommy and I settled into the routine.  My jobs include being cute, eating, sleeping and pooping.  I think that I get the better deal, while Mommy has to eat that hospital food, I get to dine on mommy.  So here are some pictures of my days in the hospital.

Uncle Pat & Aunt Molly come to visit.

I am wearing my Greatgrandmother Mary Grennan's hat.
I was born on her birthday.
I am named after her and all the other Mary's in the family.

Greatgrandma Motts (Marguerite) Hupcey

She's 89, I'm 0.

I'm all dressed up to go home.

Homecoming

Friday, April 18, was a big day for me.  I got to go home to my house and see the room that Mommy & Daddy fixed up for me.  Grandma, Grandpa, Greatgrandma and Aunt Molly were all there to greet me.

My home

My new room.

Hi, remember me, I'm the cute one.

Mommy made me a mobile that hangs over my oval crib.
There's a frog for Joey, an owl for Maisey, a duck for Mommy,
a mouse for Molly, and a flower for Rosalynd.

I'm a hungry little one.

I got this great jumper chair, now if I can only figure how to jump.

It was a beautiful day, so we all went out on the deck.

Greatgrandma Motts

Daddy gave me my first sponge bath.

Boy was he nervous, but I reassured him that all was fine.

After you cut the nails, I'd like a nice red polish.

The neighbor girls come over to see me.
Some day they could be my babysitters.
